Biography

Pa Kube Bojah Ephraim was born on April 16, 1956, to Pa Thomas Bojah and Mami Lydia Mbong. He was the first child among his brothers and sisters, a responsibility he carried throughout his life with dedication, care, and exemplary leadership.

He began his primary education at Government School Pongo Matuoter, completing his studies in 1974. In search of better opportunities, he later moved to Douala to build a better future for himself.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Pa Ephraim worked as a personal driver to Pa James Decca, the father of renowned musicians Ben Decca and Grace Decca, serving the family faithfully for

many years. He later worked as a driver to Pa Tobou of the Douala City Council and subsequently gained employment as a driver to the Government Delegate of the Douala City Council in Bonanjo.

Through dedication and hard work, he continued his service within the Douala Urban Council, where he worked honorably until his retirement in 2015. After retirement, he relocated with his family to Tiko, where he lived peacefully among loved ones.

In 1990, he married Mrs. Mary Mbong, a devoted seamstress. Their union was blessed with three children: one son, Kube Bojah Thomas, and two daughters, Kube Lizzette Kindeh and Kube Alison Bee. The family shared many years of love and living together

until the passing of his beloved wife in 2009.

Following her passing, Pa Ephraim courageously assumed the dual role of both father and mother, raising his children with unwavering love and commitment while continuing his professional duties.

In his later years, Pa Ephraim battled Total Urinary Incontinence, a condition in which the bladder cannot store urine, resulting in continuous leakage. He endured this condition for several years due to an earlier incorrect diagnosis.

Thankfully, about a year before his passing, Dr. Theophilus correctly diagnosed his condition, and he successfully underwent a Double Hernia Surgery, which cured him.

Shortly before his passing, Pa Ephraim suffered a brief illness resulting from a tooth infection. He initially sought treatment at Regina Pacis Catholic Hospital, Mutengene, where the affected tooth was extracted. Despite following medical advice, his condition worsened. Days later, he personally visited Bingo Annex Hospital, Mutengene, accompanied by his two daughters. Sadly, after a few hours, his earthly journey peacefully came to an end on March 26, 2026.

Pa Kube Bojah Ephraim has gone ahead to join his beloved wife Mary Mbong, his parents Pa Thomas Bojah and Mami Lydia Mbong, and his siblings Bojah Peter, Bojah Benjamin, and Bojah Ester.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his

three children, four grandchildren, six siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and well-wishers who deeply mourn his passing.

Pa Ephraim was a loving father, devoted family man, and compassionate soul who brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. His kindness, humility, and dedication to family will forever remain in our hearts.

Tributes

From his daughter, Kube Lizzette Kindeh:

“To my dear father, Pa Pa, I already miss you so much. After the passing of my mother, you became not only my father but also a mother to me and a grandfather to my children. Now that you are gone, I pray that you rest in peace. May God continue to be with you. I love you always.”

From his younger sister, Suzan Kakun Bojah:

My brother Ephraim, I miss you deeply. Who will come to visit me now? You always came to keep me company, and we would sit together,

talking about everything. Oh, how I have missed you, Pa Pa. I am heartbroken by your passing. You came to see me when I was sick, healthy and strong as always, only for me to hear, barely three days later, that you had died. I didn’t even know you were unwell; I only heard of your death in the most shocking way.

As you have gone ahead, please greet everyone on the other side—our parents, siblings Peter, Benjamin, and Ester, and all family members and friends who are already there. Let them know we have been left behind. Thank you, my dear brother. Until we meet again, I will always love you."
